Summer Field Experience 2021- Anthropologie 

Anthropologie is an American clothing retailer that is a part of URBN inc which includes other popular brands such as Urban Outfitters, Free People, BHLDN and Terrain. Anthropologie has grown into a one-of-a-kind destination for those seeking a curated mix of clothing, accessories, gifts and home décor that reflect the world of fashion, art and entertaining.

 

 

I had the pleasure of completing my summer field experience at Anthropologie. Working with the Northwoods district located at store no.445 in Wayzata, Minnesota.

Roles and Responsibilities 

​

  • Open and closing procedures 

  • Counting tills, opening and closing registers, collecting data of sales 

 

  • PPS - pick, package and ship

    • Pick items for online orders and curbside pick ups 

    • Package the items and print off collates 

    • Ship 

 

  • Visuals - jewelry and hair 

    • Incharge of making sure that jewelry and hair are to companies standards via the loop

    • Receive and process new shipment to be placed 

 

  • Displays, fixtures and signage

  • Helping our DC Jess create and build any display pieces for our store

  •  Lead the team and  sales floor 

Special Projects 

​

Taking over the visual merchandising of the hair and jewelry zones 

  • Having to keep up with companies standards for displays and merching 

  • Acknowledge and audit new shipment or reshipment 

  • Log into the loop for monthly  updates

  • Back stock old product in order to make room for the new product 

  • re -merch product

​

  • Assisting in creating and building display pieces for the store and new season

  • Recently I have been able to help create the new signage for Pilcro . 

  • This involved….

    • Cutting jeans to create raw edges/seam ripping pockets off 

    • Gluing the jeans  scraps to a wooden board 

    • Stapling the edges, making sure all the jeans were secure 

    • Painting the pre-cut Pilcro letters with white paint 

    • Attach letters to board using wooden pegs 

    • Hang /secure the final signage to the wall
